- US forces began launching new air strikes against Iran at 6pm Eastern Time (22:00 GMT) at US President Donald Trump’s direction, according to US Central Command (CENTCOM).
- Earlier, CENTCOM said two US service members were killed in Jordan yesterday as “partner forces defended against Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks” with another service member “missing in action”.
- The deaths, which Trump described as “very sad”, bring the number of US personnel killed since the start of the war to 16, with more than 400 wounded.
- In a written statement, Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said Trump’s signature was “worthless and invalid” as he accused the US of “repeated breaches of agreements” with Tehran.
- Several Kuwaiti firefighters have been injured while battling blazes caused by Iranian attacks, according to the Kuwait Fire Force.
