- England beat Pakistan by 93 runs at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, with New Zealand sealing their place in the semifinals.
- Pakistan, the 1992 champions, needed to beat England by 287 runs in Kolkata to squeeze into the semifinals at the Kiwis’ expense on net run rate.
- England won the toss and elected to bat first, finishing their 50 overs on 337-9, with Ben Stokes making 84 in what could be his last one-day international. Pakistan were all out for 244 after 43.3 overs.
- Jos Buttler’s side managed just three wins in their nine group matches to be eliminated from the tournament but they qualified for the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan with a top-eight finish.
