Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is visiting the White House on May 16, during which he is expected to try to convince US President Donald Trump to stop arming a Kurdish rebel group in Syria that Ankara considers a “terrorist” group.
It is a critical time for their alliance, which is facing an uncertain future on several fronts.
