September 27 Christine Blasey Ford, who accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, is sworn in before testifying to the Senate Judiciary Committee. She and Kavanaugh both gave emotional statements to the committee and took questions from its members. Ford said the incident took place in the 1980s, when the two were at a party during their high-school years.
